Paranormal Activity 3: A fright you won’t forget

The third Paranormal Activity franchise finally hit theaters in October, and is still the talk amongst viewers of all ages. For those yet to see the thrilling, horror movie, be prepared for the many exciting scenes that will make the movie worth your money. Set back in 1988, the film explains the origin behind the haunting of sisters, Katie and Kristi. The movie begins as Kristi plays with her imaginary friend, who she calls Toby. Although older sister Katie tries to persuade Kristi that Toby is only imaginative, Kristi is believes faithfully in his existence, creating an eerie mood throughout the film.  Suspense rises when the young girl’s father, Dennis, sets up cameras around their spacious home. While the girl’s mother, Julie, believes Dennis’s findings are ridiculous and moronic, events eventually become more and more frightening, until they end up packing their things to stay at Julie’s mother’s house.  From here, things quickly go south for the family, and leave viewers shaken and terrified.  All in all, the movie never leaves the viewer bored and is perfect for anyone seeking thrills and chills. Each minute contains something new and exciting for the watcher to wrap their mind around. Although the movie may not be suitable for young children or those easily frightened, it can excite any viewer and keep them frightened for days. The 84 minute long movie deserves a rating of 5 out of 5 stars for its thrilling effects and exciting plot scene, as well as its well thought out use of characters.
