I Think I Can

We’ve all been through that phase where you wake up one day and feel out of shape, and you begin to wonder if you’ll still be able to see your toes by Christmas. You decide to do something about it and go on a health kick for two or three days, and all of a sudden the motivation is just gone, and you’re back to square one. For those of you who have trouble staying on track of a healthy lifestyle, it is only a mind set. You may think that it’s  impossible to run everyday or that a salad isn’t filling enough, but I guarantee that if you keep telling yourself those things, that’s how they will be. It’s the same for anything. My dad used to tell me all the time that if you keep telling yourself you can’t do something, then you’ll never be able to do it. I always blew him off and figured it wasn’t true, but it wasn’t until I started running all the time that I finally realized it was true. If you are running a mile and all you’re thinking about is how bad it hurts, then you will never get any better. But if you tell yourself, “just  a little longer, you’re almost there,” the results will be amazing. Just remember the little train that could. He was in the same situation. So if you want to get into shape and have a rocking body for bikini season, just keep telling yourself you can instead of you can’t. You’ll be surprised by the outcome.
