Six band students earned first chair at the Area audition in Odessa Jan. 13. Of those six, three advanced to State. In addition, two students came in second place. This marks the best showing the band has had in several years.
State Qualifiers
Emily Boschen, senior, 6A Flute
Ravyn Denning, junior, 5A Horn
Caleb Mason, junior, 5A Percussion
First Chairs that did not move on:
David Penn, senior, 5A Eb Clarinet
Emily Klein, freshmen, 5A Oboe
Conner Keffer, freshmen, 6A English Horn
Second Chairs:
Shelby Morton–senior, 5A Bass Clarinet
Trenton Pharis–sophomore, 5A Horn
