Author and actor, Henry Winkler, is probably best known for playing Fonzie in the hit TV show “Happy Days,” but few people know that he has worked to raise awareness and support for children who learn differently. He has advocated for changes in the educational system and informed teachers and parents about learning challenges, and Oct. 9 at 6:30 p.m. he will be speak at the Amarillo Civic Center about this. Winkler will be at A Celebration of Extraordinary Minds on Tuesday. Tickets cost $50 and dinner will be included. This event will be at Amarillo Civic Center’s Grand Plaza at 401 S. Buchanan St. For more information or to purchase tickets go to wtamu.edu/coem or call 806-651-2070.
