A group of students in Jan Weston’s 3rd period class organized and collected almost 20 boxes of supplies to send to the unit of Weston’s son, Ben Weston, is serving in Afghanistan. The items collected included beef jerky, candy, nuts, dog treats, lotion, and toothpaste/toothbrushes.
Students also included body wipes because the soldiers’ shower facility was hit with mortar fire three weeks ago and they are unable to take showers.
