Senior Hunter Montes signs her letter of intent to play softball for Sul Ross State University.

Following senior Hunter Montes’ signing last week to play softball at Sul Ross State University, senior Brianna Ford became the second Raider within a week to sign a letter of intent to play college sports.

Ford signed her letter of intent Tuesday to play volleyball for the University of Texas at Arlington.

“I chose the University of Texas at Arlington because it is close to my family,” Ford said. “Since I was young, I have always wanted to live in the Metroplex. Now, I finally get to chance to and I am pumped. I am also excited about how much Coach Wenger has made the program better at UTA.”

“I am looking forward to playing with new people and growing my knowledge in volleyball,” Ford said. “Being able to play with new people means that I can create new relationships.”

While Ford makes her way to Arlington, Montes will plan her move to the home of Sul Ross State in Alpine, Texas. Sul Ross State is a NCAA Division III school that plays in the American Southwest Conference.
