The Canyon ISD Board of Trustees approved the land of the locations for the 2 new elementary school and high school campuses. The 2018 Bond includes growth of the facilities, technology, activity buses, Kimbrough Stadium and renovation and expansion of existing campuses.
Bond Project Timeline:
2019: Renovations to Sundown Lane, Canyon Jr. High and Canyon Intermediate, Manufacturing Expansion, CHS Baseball and Softball complex updates, Career & Technology Academy and Dark Fiber.
2020: Complete Renovations to Kimbrough Memorial Stadium and the two new Elementary campuses and High School will be under construction as well as RHS additions.
2021: Open the new campuses, RHS renovations and Randall Junior High (currently Randall High School East) renovations. \
2022: Open new High School and Randall Junior High.
New High School #3:
Will be located in the Northeast area of the District.
The building will be designed to serve 1200 students with “core” areas to sever 1500 students.
Land acquired from Rockrose Development and Attebury family.
The campus is scheduled to open in 2022.
New Elementary Campus #9 – Heritage Hills Elementary:
Will be located to serve the Northside of the District.
The building will be designed to serve 750 students.
Land acquired from Perry Williams Group.
The campus is scheduled to open in 2021.
New Elementary Campus #10 – Spring Canyon Elementary:
Will be located to serve the Southside of the District.
The building will be designed to serve 500 students with the “core” areas to serve 750 students.
Land acquired from Canyon Capital Group.
The campus is scheduled to open in 2021.
