UIL released the updated standings for this year’s race for Conference 4A’s Lone Star Cup Friday. Randall currently sits in first place with 48 points with Celina trailing behind with 43 points. Randall’s 48 points came from their state finishes in team Tennis (11 points), Volleyball (18), Girls’ Cross Country (6 points), Marching Band (4 points) and Spirit/Cheer (1 point) and their playoff run in Football (8 points). Standings will be updated again in March and May before a winner is determined on June 17.
The Lone Star Cup is an annual competition where Texas schools earn points for their achievements in sanctioned UIL academic, athletic and music championships.
