Grand Theft Auto 5
September 17 was a day that all violence junkies will remember. The day the videogame Grand Theft Auto 5 came out on all consoles (Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC). The action packed videogame that blew away reviewers for Metacritic, making a 97 out of 100 on the overall grade and getting a 320 percent positive review from the users or the gamers that have bought and played it. The online was launched Oct. 1 and there are positive reviews still streaming in.
Many people gave many reasons why the game was a complete success but the real crowd pleaser was the map that came with the game, one reviewer saying the map literally took an hour to drive around, without getting distracted by the many activities that go with the driving.
Now, even though the game was a complete success, there are some obvious reasons why the game is strictly for Mature audiences, particularly over 17 years of age. The games constant foul language only add onto the countless acts of crime and other mayhem that’s allowed in the game, from shooting random people in the streets to blowing up cars with RPGs, this game is certainly not a game that would be recommended for children.
After playing this game for a couple hours, I understand why it would be fun for the common teenager. I enjoyed the explosions, one of the main activities in the game. Even the crude language and jokes were funny when they were approprate, something a concerned parent might disagree with. I would not recommend it to children under the age of 13, but for fans that have loved Grand Theft Auto in the past, by all means go out and get the game.
