A young writer is diagnosed with cancer. A girl is disowned by her Muslim father for her conversion to Christianity. A Christian woman tries to find her self-worth in a man as she watches her mother wither away in a nursing home. An atheist is challenged about his beliefs. One of the most famous power couples in America shares their faith. A conflicted Chinese exchange student decides to believe in Jesus. A pastor advises many people, but doesn’t see his importance. A college freshman tries to make a stand for what he believes.

Three words bring these people together- “God’s Not Dead.” These song lyrics from the Newsboys song have been circulating around phones since the movie released.

The story takes place at a small college, each character is somehow connected to the community.

Freshman Josh Wheaton (Shane Harper) is challenged to defend his belief in God before his Philosophy class and his atheist teacher (Kevin Sorbo).

As a teenager, the movie is easy to understand and is a good family watch, for faith or entertainment purposes. It is rated PG for brief violence, thematic material, and an accident scene.
