Holiday break ideas
Winter break is upon us and as many would be excited for that, but we all know how challenging it is to stay occupied for those two weeks. Here are some tips and tricks for having a safe and exciting winter break.
One major idea is 100% free, and it may come as surprise to you, but it can also be fun to have a technology free Christmas break! It’s amazing what can happen when you put the phone down for a few hours. If you’re looking to stay in, and spend time with your family you might want to invest in coloring books, puzzles and board games, these are appropriate for all ages, and also affordable. Baking, organizing, reading, and starting a new hobby are activities that don’t require leaving the house as well. Another option is going to see a movie at your local movie theater, renting some at home or even starting a series on Netflix. If you feel like braving the cold, and heading out, a coffee date is always a smart, and inexpensive option, followed by a trip to the bookstore or even shopping trip while all of the Holiday sales are still going on. Looking at Christmas light displays or volunteering locally can kill the boredom the Holiday break brings as well, but in the midst of trying to keep yourself occupied never forget to spend time with the ones you love the most, and to simply enjoy the much needed break.
