Rise Of Photography
For years, it’s been a social habit for us to reach for our smartphones in the midst of moments we desire to remember forever to capture it on our tiny smartphone camera. It could a moment as small as going bowling with your friends for the fifteenth time this month, or something as exceptional as your baby brother being born, you’ll most likely capture the moment on your phone.
Are times changing? In recent months, the rise of photography has taken an exceptional expansion, and many teens are investing their time and money into this popular hobby. Photography is a way for people to express themselves through pictures, and that’s exactly what teens have been doing. The benefits that have come with this hobby are endless. Teens have now discovered a safe, fun way to spend their free time, and many of them have grown a certain love for Amarillo that was not there before. This “newfound” photography ranges from taking fellow classmate’s senior picture to snapping nature shots around Palo Duro Canyon, and it’s no secret that this hobby costs a pretty penny.
The most popular beginner cameras have a starting price of up to $400, and while that price seems outrageous, the things you can create and capture with a camera with that kind of quality is priceless to say the least. This old fashioned hobby has a modern twist on it because these student photographers are using social media apps like Snapchat, Instagram and VSCO, a photo editing app, to promote their photographs. Some even create separate social media accounts for photography alone. Although the rise of photography might not be as favored as it once was, it surely is not going to disappear anytime soon.
