VASE Competition Results!
VASE (Visual-Art-Scholastic-Event) is an art contest that can be entered by anyone who has or is taking Art 1. The Feb. 24 contest, held at Amarillo High, featured artwork from students attending various schools around the Texas Panhandle.
For the contest, each piece of art is judged and receives a score from one to four, with four being the best score. Student artists who placed at the top in the Feb. 24 contest qualified to compete in the VASE state competition in April.
Three Randall students qualified to compete at state: Emma Ambs, Christian Rios, and Ariel Bennert. Bennert had two pieces of artwork qualify, and will have two chances to win state.
Artwork featured in the VASE competition can be seen outside the counselors’ office in the west building.
