Senior Wins Opportunity to Showcast for Esports Organization
While Randall’s esports team competed at the Dec. 4 invitational at Region 16, senior Xan Argo was in a competition of his own.
For his competition, he didn’t use a game controller but his voice and microphone instead and as gamers played, Argo narrated giving judges the play-by-play.
Argo’s competition was called Sports Narration, otherwise known as showcasting, where he competed against other local high school students. At the end of the day, Argo won first place.
Students who placed in the top three earned a seat at a showcasting workshop which will be taught by some of the biggest names in the industry. In addition, because Argo placed first, he will also have the opportunity to showcast for an upcoming esports competition sponsored by FaZe Clan, the most popular esports and entertainment organization in the world. The date that Argo will showcast is yet to be determined.
