This year’s UIL One Act Play cast performed “The Old Boy” and were awarded alternate to state on April 21. The story centered around a politician named Sam and the self discovery he goes through upon returning to his alma mater high school to give the ceremonial graduation speech. The story is filled with twists and turns as Sam regresses into the past and continuously relives significant moments from his teen years spent with his best friend Perry. The final public performance for the show will be May 3 in the Randall auditorium. Alternates will perform at 7 p.m. and the main cast will follow at 8.
