Last weekend, the TAFE students competed in their state conference at Texas Tech University. There are 12 students in their chapter, and 10 of them qualified for state in their event at the regional conference, which was hosted by RHS in November. Several students competed in new events for the first time this year.

Jamie Birkenfeld made it to finals at the state conference in her event, job interview. She placed fifth in the state and qualified for nationals in Washington, D.C. in April.
