The band earned a 1^st division at the UIL Marching Contest and advanced to area this past Saturday. UIL only allows bands to compete every other year to have the opportunity to advance to the state marching contest. The band will compete at area on Oct. 24 at 1:30 pm at Ratliff Stadium in Odessa. Only two bands in the area will have the chance to advance to state, so there will be no prelims/finals.
