Landed in Neverland
Over the weekend the productions class put on the show “The Lost Boys.” It was a spectacular performance with lively characters and a thrilling story line about a boy who was raised by fairies and could never grow up.
Peter Pan was a staple in most kid’s childhood; his story was full of pirates with a hook for an arm, beautiful mermaids, dangerous adventures with Indians and much more. In the play it told the background of Peter Pan and how he became the boy he is. Actor Zane Wells portrayed the perfect mannerisms of a 13 year old stuck in a magical land and who was only looking to have fun. His partner and best friend Tinkerbell, played by Cheyenne Haynes, was spunky, prideful, and loyal. In the play it tells of how Peter Pan came to be, author Jamie M. Berrie modeled Peter after his late brother Davey who passed in an accident at the age of 13.
Senior Tyler Davis, who played a pirate, said productions put a lot of hard work and effort into building the set and rehearsing for the play and that hearing from everyone who has watched the play he now believes that they all did an excellent job at performing and bringing magic to the stage.
