A New Beginning
Randall welcomes new principal for 2017-2018 school year
Monday May 15, the school board approved Steve Singleton as the next principal of Randall. Mr. Williams will continue to serve as principal until Singleton officially takes over the position in July.
Singleton has served as an assistant principal at Canyon High school since 2011. In addition, he is not a stranger to the environment and culture of our school. In 2005, he was a biology teacher and head softball coach at Randall.
Because Williams has served as principal for 21 years, it will surely be a big adjustment for staff and students. Williams hired most of the teachers currently here, and the end of his term as principal marks the beginning of a new era at RHS. Many are apprehensive of the change, as people have become accustomed to the way things are done by the current administration. However, change is not necessarily a bad thing, and we must adapt as a school community.
While Williams will be missed by many, it is important that we welcome our new principal, and give him a fair chance to earn the trust and respect of the student body and faculty. The upcoming school year will certainly be different, but we should try and have a positive attitude about the new leadership at Randall. After all, he could potentially be here for many years to come.

The first time I saw Mr.Singleton, I thought he was going to be rude. He looks intimidating, but when you talk to him he is the sweetest person and he is so funny.
