The Raiders football team will look to advance to 7-0 tonight as they take on the Palo Duro Dons 7:30 at Happy State Bank Field at Kimbrough Memorial Stadium.
The Raiders are coming off a win 19-0 win over Plainview and are tied with Frenship for first place in district 3-4A. The Dons have a record of 2-4 on the season, but both wins have come in district play, so a win would put PD in the thick of the playoff race.
The Dons will use a balanced attack led by quarterback Malik Sims while the Raiders will look to establish the running game and play solid defense. Through six games, quarterback Collin Bowen and running back Tyler Junell are ranked first and second, respectively, in rushing yards among area players.
