The girls and boys basketball teams will begin district 3-4A competition tonight at Canyon.
The Lady Raiders will take on the defending state champion Lady Eagles at 6:00 p.m. The team is currently 6-8 on the season, but is coming off an upset win over Palo Duro. The Lady Eagles sit atop the district standings with a 10-2 record.
The Raiders play at 7:30 and will look to extend their winning streak to four games. After a shaky start, the team has recovered and boosted its record to 5-6 after taking the consolation at the Union Square Tournament and defeating Pampa Tuesday. The Eagles have an 8-4 record, secondly only in the district to Frenship.
