With a win tonight, the Raiders basketball team could create a three-way tie atop the district 3-4A standings. The Raiders will travel to Frenship to take on the 18-3 Tigers, who are ranked no. 7 in the state.
The team is coming off of three straight double digits wins despite senior Trey Ingram and junior Ashton Simmons’ departure from the team. In all three contests, the Raiders have relied on red hot shooting from the field. Senior Ridrell Holman has been a driving force for the Raiders, upping his scoring average to 16.2 points per game with 34 and 29 point performances against Plainview and Caprock, respectively.
Still, the Tigers have proved to be a potent force in district play with a 4-0 record, with all four wins coming by double digits. The Tigers feed off an experienced starting lineup that has showed its force so far this season.
Tipoff will be at 7 p.m. at the Frenship High School gymnasium.
