The Raiders are currently undefeated after a close game with 3-1 opponent Lubbock Monterey. The game took place at Kimbrough Memorial Stadium on September 20.
Randall was coming off a 34-14 win against 3A Monahans. Randall quarterback Collin Bowen threw 11-17 for 121 yards. He also had a total of 125 rushing yards. Both Adrian Sotelo and Aaron King caught touchdowns for Randall against Monahans.
Monterey defeated Americas 27-23 in week 2. In the past weeks, they’ve also defeated Coronado and Odessa. This was Monterey’s first road game since Coronado in week 0, in which they scraped by with a 17-14 win.
Randall defeated Monterey 35-31 in a 4th quarter nail-biter. Randall’s Logan Brittain ran a kickoff back for a touchdown, and made two touchdown stopping tackles. Bowen ran for 139 yards and two touchdowns. One touchdown was made with 17 seconds left to put Randall in the lead.
Randall’s next opponent will be Borger. This will be their homecoming game and last non-league challenge.
