The Raider varsity football team started the season last Thursday with a win against the Plainview Bulldogs. With a partially new coaching staff, senior quarterback Brett Taff took the field looking to senior Wyatt Garton and junior Logan Nix to get the Raiders on the board. Junior Logan Nix was the first to score a touchdown in the first half. At halftime, the score was 14-0 with the Raiders in the lead.  The finale score of the game was 21-0.

The varsity team will play Lubbock Cooper this Friday night in Lubbock.
