Varsity football team defeats Lubbock Cooper in first home game
Students held their breath as the time on the scoreboard counted down the final minutes in Friday night’s game. Nerves were at an all time high as the lead flipped back and forth between Randall and Lubbock throughout the game. With one second left on the clock, the student section was alive with hopeful energy and sure enough, the buzzer sounded and students erupted into cheers and celebratory hugs. The final score was 22-17, making Randall 1-0. The varsity team will take on Lubbock Monterey Sept. 15 at Kimbrough Stadium. Kick-off is 7 p.m.
