The Raider basketball and Lady Raider basketball team both hosted their opponents during Tuesday night’s game. The Lady Raiders kicked off their 3-5A season with a win at home against Dumas. The Ladies had a 25-4 point lead in the first quarter of the night, and continued to battle it out during the final three quarters with final scores being 43-6, 58-12, and 66-22. The Ladies will compete in another district game Dec. 15 against Caprock, and will continue to compete for a district title into mid February. Following the girls’ victory, the Raider boys hosted the Bushland Falcons in a non-district game at home. The boys also brought home a win for the Raiders as they defeated the Falcons in a 67-23 game. The boys will begin their district play at home Dec. 19 against longtime rival, Canyon.
