The Lady Raiders defeated El Paso Burgess 54-45 Friday night to win Area. On Monday, they competed in the Quarter Final Championship against district rival Canyon High School at the FUBC on the WTAMU campus. The end of the first quarter seemed promising for the Raiders as they had a nine point lead over the Lady Eagles. The Raiders held a lead throughout the first half of the game, finishing the half at 19-18. Although the night seemed to be in favor of the Raiders, the ladies fell short of a win against the Lady Eagles in a final score of 25-43, ending the playoff season.
