Tyler Caldwell-Wood, Junior

Junior Tyler Caldwell-Wood is debating between going into two very different fields: fashion designer or lawyer. Both careers interest her.

“I want to be a fashion designer because the job is to satisfy people and make them content in whatever they are wearing,” Caldwell-Wood said. “I love putting different clothes together and creating an outfit.”

As a young child, Caldwell-Wood said that she would cut up shirts, put them all together and show her parents.

“Fashion design interests me because not many people can make it in that field,” Caldwell-Wood said. “Knowing that you designed something that people like would be really cool.”

Caldwell-Wood said she became interested in law because her mom once worked in the field.

“My mom was a probation officer,” Caldwell-Wood said. “It was kind of scary because she would have to go to houses and check up on people. I wouldn’t want to do that, but I would like to be a lawyer.”

As a junior, Caldwell-Wood has time before she has to make a decision. In the meantime, she is looking at colleges.

“I want to go to TCU or Alabama,” Caldwell-Wood said. “Which are more centered around law.”
