Freshman Zoey Salvidar is a catcher for junior varsity softball team.

“Softball is my place to get away from my everyday problems,” Salvidar said. “I don’t have to worry about anyone judging me because (my teammates and I all) act the same. I like this sport mainly because I have 12 sisters with me going through the same things as me. 12 other people pushing me to be better.”

Salvidar said that one of the things that she likes about the team is that they win and lose together.

“We get better and support each other until the last play,” Salvidar said.
