Boys’ Golf Team Takes First in Hereford Tournament
The boys’ golf team placed first after a two day tournament in Hereford Friday and Saturday. The team competed against 13 other teams. Junior Stetson Provence placed first individually with a 73-66 and freshman Wyatt Provence placed third individually with a 73-76. The Raider team consists of Stetson and Wyatt Provence, Jerry and Jacob Montano and Caden Conrad. The team is coached by Ben Gilliland.
“We’ve got a lot of hard workers and good competition,” Gilliland said. “These guys come to practice ready to get better and are ready to prove that the Raiders are a dominant team. Our hopes for this year are to continue to break through our current barriers and grow as people and as golfers.”
