Freshman Jaxon Corbet had brain surgery to replace a shunt on Oct. 5. The surgery had an unexpected outcome that has left him in a coma, and he is now fighting due to an acquired brain injury. Corbet has had multiple surgeries, and continues to make progress. In addition, Corbet’s parents are currently exploring options to get him into a rehabilitation facility outside of the Amarillo area that specializes in brain injuries like his.

A fundraiser has been organized to help the family with expenses. “Fight With Jaxon” short and long sleeve cotton T-Shirts, hoodies and crew neck sweat shirts can be purchased using the QR code or this link. T-Shirt options range from $20-$30 where hoodies and crew neck sweatshirts are $35-$40 and payment should be sent at the time of order to Venmo account @fightwithjaxon. Orders will be open for one more week and it will take another three weeks for the shirts to come in.
