Top 9 Healthy Snacks
About once every two months, I get the strong urge to eat the healthiest food I can find. This usually occurs after excessive running, TV watching, or swimsuit shopping. So on these rare occasions, I search the fridge for asparagus, broccoli, or green peas. I don’t normally consume deeply green vegetables, but when my taste buds aren’t feeling particularly articulate, I endure a bowl for my health’s sake.
If you ever get this urge, don’t fight it! Search your fridge and pantry for these super healthy (but a little lacking in the taste department) snacks!
- Non-fat plain Greek yogurt
- Snow peas
- Kashi granola bar
- Plain almonds
- Unsalted and unbuttered popcorn
- Steamed asparagus
- Kale chips
- Seaweed snacks
- Fruit
If you don’t have an extended selection, always opt for fruits and vegetables. Also, don’t add butter or sugar…that’s cheating! Good luck and stay healthy!
