Ford developing new technology

Ford is in the process of developing a revolutionary system for their vehicles. Although it will not be released on the roads for a long time, it is still something that could change the way we drive. Whether or not it will be accepted in public is the question.

Ford is developing a new system that will park the car for the driver… and they don’t even have to be in the car. With this new technology, the driver of the car can step out of the car and press a button on the remote, and the Ford will park itself using sensors that are positioned all around the car.

Another system Ford is developing is called the Obstacle Avoidance System. An array of radars and cameras on the car will search for other cars, pedestrians, or other potential hazards in the road ahead. If needed, the car will take control of the steering system and brakes, and steer the car away from the hazard or brake to a halt. All this can happen even if the driver doesn’t take his/her foot off the accelerator pedal.

These systems sound pretty cool, but there are many flaws that Ford will have to work out before they will ever be released to the market. They could be very dangerous, and pose serious threats to people’s safety. Even when these systems are released to the public, who’s to say they won’t glitch and fail? This could be the revolution of driving technology, or the downfall.
