Failing to stop my sneeze
My family and I live next door to my handicapped grandmother, and every night either my sister or I go over to her house and help her get into bed.
The other night was my turn. I had just gotten dressed from getting out of the shower, and was heading to walk out of our front door. We have a normal house door, and our glass door. My nose began to tickle as I opened the first door, and began to itch as I reached for the second. I was hurrying to move the barrier and sneeze into the cold night air then be on my way.
My hand grabbed the handle and pushed, but the door didn’t budge. My nose didn’t get the memo. Before I could step back, I sneezed and slammed my head into the glass.
The sound echoed through our little house and my mom erupted into laughter. Luckily the door didn’t shatter. However, the door did leave a knot on my head for a week. Now, every time I sneeze, my mom laughs.
