People require corresponding respect
We all have those teachers that just tend to annoy the ever loving daylights out of us. It’s simply inevitable. However, that doesn’t mean they need to be disrespected by irritated students.
First, a moment to talk to the students of our school. I totally understand, teachers can make you want to scream and shout. For example, this year I had teachers who would start hollering at me in front of the entire class when I honestly didn’t know what I had done wrong. While I don’t like to admit it, and I’m quite ashamed of it, I did say some not nice things under my breath and whenever I left the classroom, and in all honesty I regret it because since then it’s been hard to look past the negative point of view. However, I did try to continue to respect them, I mean, they have survived many many years of school so they have to know what they’re talking about right?
Now, a second for any teachers who may read or hear about this, and I do truly hope it spreads at least through out our school. Most students do truly respect you and appreciate your hard work, however, having you down grade us or embarrass us in front of the entire class really hurts. I understand you’re just trying to prove a point, but the time to do that is in private, not talking to a single person about his or her grades when all of his or her classmates can hear. No one besides our families, our teachers and us need to have the knowledge of whether or not we are passing or failing.
I leave you all with this, the school year is coming to an end, and you may feel it’s too late to change your attitude now, but you still have next year. Students, respect your authorities, they know what they’re talking about. Teachers, it’s easier for us to give respect if we feel we are given respect.
