For All the Single Pringles
As someone with quite a bit of experience being single I understand that it can either be fantastic or horrible. On the pro side of things you don’t have to worry about making time to hang out with anyone or saying the right thing. On the con side it can get pretty lonely. You see all the couples walking down the hall or see your ex with their new boyfriend or girlfriend and it makes you want something like that. You want someone to text you good morning and have a great day. You want someone to hang out with and go to lunch or the movies with.
Being single, even by choice, automatically means people are going to assume you want to be in a relationship. It is impossible for someone in a relationship to understand why someone wouldn’t want what they have. There is a strong chance they are going to try and set you up with people but even with all the convincing and guilt tripping it is still you’re choice. Being single isn’t a bad thing. Neither is being in a relationship but sometimes that’s just not what you want. The number one rule for being single by choice is don’t feel pressured to be in a relationship if you don’t want to be.
For the single people out there looking for a relationship don’t be afraid to ask someone out. The only way to stop being single is to put yourself out there and take a chance. There is always a chance that you will get shot down but they may be thinking the same thing. Don’t wait for someone else to make the first move because it may never happen.
More than anything else remember it is okay to be single or want a relationship just be yourself.
