The Life of a Blonde California Girl
Hey everyone, my name is Ireland Stevenson and I am a senior staff writer. I was born and raised in California which opens me up to way more jokes than necessary. As you may have guessed, I am blonde and yes, I also have to embrace the stereotype. I feel that the blonde stereotype is one of the oldest and most untrue and uncreative misconceptions ever. There are many smart blondes out there that prove this well-known cliché very, very wrong. One of my worst “blonde moments” was I was in gym and I decided to pull a prank while my best friend wasn’t looking. So I grabbed her shoes and put them in a locker. And so I didn’t look suspicious I took mine too and tried to pin the blame on someone else. Anyway, I forgot where I put them and I ended up making everyone look through all the lockers, until we eventually found them. And another time I talking to my mom on my cell and all of a sudden I couldn’t find my phone. So I told my mom I’d call her back because I couldn’t find my phone so she hung up. It was in my hand! Another time on the first day of school I fell down the stairs. Another time I was walking home from school and I went the wrong way. At play practice I fell off the stage… I’ve had way more.., sadly.
