The annual Texas State FCCLA competition took place April 5-7th in Dallas, Texas. Family, Career, and community leaders of America also known FCCLA is an organization for high schoolers across the state interested in many different career fields including culinary arts.Students who participate learn career readiness skills, leadership and life skills and the value of competition, while participating in FCCLA programs and projects that involve families, careers and communities. Senior Katelyn Stroble competed in a FCCLA cupcake battle invitational. Stroble is an active student in the CISD culinary arts program, and has a passion for cooking, and baking. She competed against 30 other contenders from across the state, being one of the only students from the area. Stroble placed third place overall in the competition.
