On March 22, the One Act Play UIL cast and crew competed in the Zone competition at Amarillo College against Dumas, Palo Duro and Caprock high school. Randall and Palo Duro advanced to the upcoming District competition on April 3 at Amarillo College. The awards that the team received are as follows:
Best Actor: Tucker Carver
Best Actress: Maddy Cunningham
All-Star Cast: Victoria Humphrey, Brandon Dawson and Matt Allen
Honorable Mention: Michael Hoy
Best Overall Technical Crew
Best Stage Manager: Caitlin Shaffer
Best Lights: Clay Legrand
Best Sound: Emily Key

Good job, to the theatre kids and Mrs. Ludington and Mrs. Back. I saw the play yesterday at contest, and it is amazing. The story is relevant today; we have so many teenagers committing suicide because of the intolerance and pressures of society. I salute you all for taking on this difficult and controversial subject. It is only through the telling of stories and therefore the opening of conversation that we can truly make the world better. Thank you for telling this one.
