College day prepares students for ACT testing

The counseling center has designated the second Wednesday of every month to be “college day.” Counselors and advisers hope to increase college interest and make students more aware of life outside of high school. Each college day, at the beginning of every class period every teacher will show a PowerPoint presentation with two ACT or SAT questions on it for students to answer. The counseling staff suggests that students keep track of their questions and answers so that they may be more prepared for the ACT and SAT college entrance exams. On these days, seniors who have already been accepted to a college or university will be recognized as well. Anyone who has been accepted to college should inform the counseling center so that they may recognize everyone.
