Randall’s prom will take place on Saturday, April 8 at the Amarillo Civic Center. The event will begin around 8:00 p.m. and will last until midnight. Prom is targeted for juniors and seniors that attend Randall, but underclassmen are allowed in if they are brought by an upperclassman, as well as students that attend other high schools. Tickets for this event will go on sale shortly, and will be available at the door. Although many of us sigh at the thought of prom due to the cost of everything, you don’t have to pay a pretty penny to have a pretty prom dress. Many girls and guys both assume they have to break the bank (or their parents bank) to have a successful prom, however, that is not always the case.

Brides is a dress store located in Amarillo. Brides sells bridal, sweet sixteen and prom dresses. The prom dresses Brides carries ranges from $200-$800, and they provide alterations upon request. Brides is open 10:00 a.m till 6:00 p.m and is located in Westgate Parkway next to the Christian Lifeway store.

DNK is locally owned dress store that specifies in prom dresses. DNK is typically the first and only store in town that receives the latest fashion trends. The fashion trends for the 2017 prom
season include floral, two-piece, side leg slits, and lace. DNK has numerous styles of dresses from top selling brands like Sherri Hill, Alyce Paris, and Jovanni. The prices range from $300 to $900. Although the prices are a bit more than other competitors, DNK allows you to pay in payments, and they also document every time someone from your school buys a dress so that nobody ends up with the same dress as anyone else. DNK has recently moved locations to 2800 Civic Circle, and are open from 11:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m during prom season.

There are countless, inexpensive online prom options like Windsor, Promgirl, and Lulus that range from $80-$250.

Top Tuxedo rental places include Al Formal Wear, Men’s Wearhouse, and Mister Doyce Tuxedos. Tuxedo rentals range from $180 all the way up into designer prices that are $500. Rentals do not typically include shoes, or ties.
