Yellow City Street Food Review
Yellow City Street Foods offers unique dining experience
Yellow City Street Foods, located in between I-50 and Wolflin is a unique restaurant like no other in Amarillo, Texas. The restaurant can come off as intimidating to people that see themselves as picky-eaters, because the orders cannot be edited to a particular liking. Despite this, it is hard to leave unsatisfied by simply following the directions of the sign placed front and center in the restaurant, “TRUST THE CHEF.”
The atmosphere of the restaurant is supported by a friendly staff and is relaxed, but different from what Amarillo is used to. On top of this, the food is some of the best that Amarillo has to offer. The diverse menu options have something to offer for people with all different tastes, as they offer hamburgers, tacos, and even vegetarian and vegan options.
This restaurant has gained a certain amount of fame in Amarillo for being exceptional, causing 30 minute to one hour wait times that are lengthy but worthwhile. On top of the wait times, Yellow City Street Foods is only open for three hours for lunch and three hours for dinner. If one enters the restaurant with an open mind, ready to try new things, an flexible schedule, and an empty stomach, then they will surely have a great experience at Yellow City Street Foods.
I personally would rate Yellow City Street Foods a 9.5/10, with the only thing that could be improved upon is the wait time caused by the sometimes hectic crowd, and the hours that the restaurant serving food being expanded upon. This restaurant absolutely provides a more than worthwhile experience for open minded customers.
