Aspen Turman, Freshman
Freshman Aspen Turman is a multi sport athlete.
Turman is a varsity cross country runner who made it to state this year. With her fastest 5k being 19:20, and her fastest 2 mile at 12:07, Turman’s skills in cross country could easily transfer over to track, where she plans to run on the Randall team as well. In track, she hopes to run the 800, but she may end up doing the two mile and mile.
In addition to cross country and track, Turman also plays softball. Currently a second baseman and outfielder, she also used to pitch. While at bat, Turman enjoys power hits and slapping.
Turman said sports has become a big part of her life. Whether she’s competing or working on ways to improve, Turman said she enjoys everything about it, including the teammates she gets to work with.
In the long run, Turman hopes to go to her dream college, OSU, on a scholarship.
