In a battle of state-ranked teams, the No. 2 Lady Raiders were able to capture their 31st consecutive victory with a win over the No. 16 Dumas Demonettes.
Ashley Davis contributed another dominant performance, notching 10 kills and eight aces. Aubree Piper also had 10 kills as the Lady Raiders swept the Demonettes in three games, 25-5, 25-13 and 25-11. This marked the second time this season the Ladies swept Dumas. The Lady Raiders are undefeated in district play at 8-0 and stand with an overall record of 31-1, their only loss coming to defending 5A state champions Amarillo High.
The Lady Raiders will continue their pursuit for a state title October 13 at Caprock, who is currently in sixth place in district 3-4A.
