The Lady Raiders lost to Canyon’s Lady Eagles last Friday, 42-30, bringing their district standing to 4-1.
The Eagles were in the lead from the beginning with 12-9 in the first quarter, and a 14-point lead by halftime. Junior guard Aubrie Hernandez led the Lady Raiders with 10 points, and senior forward Traca Bradstreet earned 5. In addition, junior guards Jade Cordova and Aubrie Hernandez had 4 3-point shots. Still, this was not enough to beat Canyon’s aggressive offense and overall higher number of shots.
The Lady Raiders will play Palo Duro next Jan. 15.
