For the 16th consecutive match, the Lady Raiders volleyball team walked off the court victorious. Thursday night the team swept El Paso Burges 25-16, 25-11, 25-14 to advance to the Region I-4A quarterfinals.
Seniors Katie Dudding and Libby Strickland continued their dominant offensive seasons, recording 12 and 11 kills, respectively. Sophomore Sydney Harlan also continued her recent surge, contributing 10 kills to the sweep. Madalyn Pepper tacked on 13 digs and 5 aces, while Whitney Hunt put up 38 assists.
The win advanced the Lady Raiders record to 40-4 on the season. The team will face the winner of Frenship and El Paso Chapin next week.
