Sports Notes: Glenn to retire, basketball fights for no. 2 seed

-The Boys’ basketball team will take on Plainview in a tiebreaker game tonight at 6 p.m. at Dimmit High School.  The winner of this game will earn the no. 2 seed in district 3-4A and will play Denton Ryan in a bi-district playoff matchup.  The loser will take the no. 3 seed and face The Colony, which defeated the Raiders last season in the playoffs.  In two previous meetings, the Raiders won 91-76 and lost on the road 67-62.

-Girls’ head basketball coach Ronnie Glenn announced his retirement Tuesday after eight seasons as head coach.  Glenn also worked as an assistant at Randall under legendary coach Jim Wilcoxson since 1990 and accumulated a 37 year coaching tenure.  At Randall, Glenn compiled a 171-124 record.
