The Lady Raider volleyball team recently went 13-1 into their district season, which put them in a first place tie with Amarillo High, both only losing to the other twice throughout the season. The competing teams decided on a coin toss for the deciding factor for the number one spot in 5A district. Randall Coach Jason Culpepper won the toss giving the Raiders automatic entrance into the district 3-5A playoffs alongside Amarillo High and Hereford.

The Lady Raiders won the first playoff game and became bi-district champs in a three series game against Lubbock Monterey on Oct. 31. They then went on to win area and regional quarterfinals. On Friday, the Lady Raiders road to state ended one game early with a 3-1 loss to Colleyville Heritage in Abilene.
