Bowling Rolls to State

The Raider bowling team has been competing since the fall and have recently traveled to compete in the annual Texas High School State bowling tournament. The tournament took place in San Antonio at the 56 lanes Bandera Bowl on March 24-25. Unlike the typical UIL sports, high school bowling is categorized as a club. Clubs compete in 29 districts across the state. The were a total of 48 eight-member teams and 80 individual competitors from around the state. The Lady Raiders placed 10th as a team. Senior Zoey Massengill who carries a 204 average placed 5th in girls’ individuals. The boys’ team brought home 18th place as a whole, and Payton Nunez got 11th in the boys’ individuals.
