Black water hits shelves, offers health benefits

Much like the masters behind Vitamin Water and SoBe Lifewater, a company called Blk Beverages has put a new spin on the way we drink our H2O. Fulvic acid, antioxidants, and over 70 different minerals combine to create Blk Water, a derivative from pure Canadian springs that is naturally black in color. Fulvic acid is a 100% organic substance that is vital in the growth of plant life. This electrolyte is known to hydrate the body quicker than regular water does. Containing 0 calories, 0 sugars and 0 artificial flavors, Blk Water has a PH of 9+ and naturally aids in lowering acidity levels in the body. Although its coloration may concern some skeptic consumers, the drink actually tastes exactly like . . .water. The fun and creative design of the beverage’s packaging also makes a big contribution to its hype and popularity. Fortunately there is at least one location here in Amarillo that sells this unique drink, Eat-Rite, the health food market and restaurant located in Wolflin Square.
